This past weekend, Megan turned 21 and also transitioned to one of Safe Harbor’s apartments – her first home. Megan has been in this program for over eight months, and is in the process of transformation and restoration.
There to celebrate with her were folks from the three Episcopal parishes that joined together to renovate this apartment. They have worked tirelessly, investing time, money, skill, and love, into one of the most challenging apartments in the complex. No one would recognize this beautiful living space from what it used to be. It was dark, filthy, and falling apart. Now it is filled with light, it is clean, and upfitted with new appointments and furnishings throughout!
Walking the grounds and from room to room, so many beautiful prayers and so many words of encouragement were heard. Once again, it served as a reminder of what good things can happen when people work together, and when even one person decides to make a difference!
